What is Herpes

The action of Valtrex is to prevent the herpes virus from multiplying and spreading. By suppressing an outbreak, the body combats the virus and reduces some of the symptoms you may experience such as pain and itchiness.

How to Take Valtrex?

To treat a herpes outbreak, take Valtrex at a dose of one 500mg tablet twice daily for five days

Who should not take Valtrex?

Do not take Valtrex if you:

  • have an allergy to valaciclovir or any other ingredient of the medication without any
  • have kidney problems
  • are pregnant or trying to get pregnant
  • liver problems
  • drone problems (such as itching, dry mouth, thirst, blurred vision, etc)
  • have an allergy to any other antiviral medication for the same
  • are allergic to aciclovir or valaciclovir.

Missed Dose
